How to Register Your Business in Nigeria To run your business in Nigeria there is need to register with the appropriate authorities as this will establish the presence of your business legally in the Country. 
The body saddled with this responsibility is known as Corporate Affairs Commission. They are to regulate the formation and management of companies in Nigeria. For young entrepreneurs that are just starting out I will suggest that you register your business name first and collect the relevant documents as required.  For details on their services and fees click here (http://www.cac.gov.ng/Pages/Cacservices.htm  ).

 At Corporate affairs commission you are expected to submit two Business name(s) of your choice for registration. After this you will be issued a receipt for the amount of money charged for the Name Search. During this period, CAC will do a thorough search to ensure that the business name is not in use. Once, the business name is available for your own use, you will pay certain amount of money for registration and certificate processing.
